ISBB’s “We Believe” Statements

For our children

Ø      We believe in fostering a nurturing environment in which each child feels special and grows in self-esteem.

Ø      We believe that all children can learn and deserve equal access to a full education.

Ø      We believe that love of learning should be nurtured as a lifelong process.

Ø      We believe that critical-thinking skills should be developed to enable children to resolve conflicts, make decisions and identify and solve problems.

Ø      We believe that at our school we should all appreciate differences and celebrate our diversity.

For our school community

Ø      We believe that school community participation in school should be encouraged.

Ø      We believe that mutual respect, trust, citizenship and good communication with the school community is vital.

Ø      We believe that when parents are involved in their children’s education, students, teachers and parents all benefit.

For our environment

Ø      We believe that our physical plant should be safe, comfortable, aesthetic, and efficient in meeting the needs of our community.

Ø      We believe that all members of our school community should be aware of and act upon environmental community responsibility.
